Corrupt judge rigged hush money trial; real verdict coming in November: Trump

Moments after a jury convicted him of all 34 charges in a hush money trial, former U.S. President Donald Trump dismissed his conviction as a “rigged trial by corrupt judge.”
“This was a disgrace,” Mr Trump said. “This was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who is corrupt.”
Mr Trump, who is in clear lead to be Republican presidential candidate in the November election, said the real verdict will be on election day.
“The real verdict is going to be November 5 by the people,” Mr Trump said. “And they know what happened here, and everybody knows what happened here.”
The 12-member jury in the New York hush money trial involving Mr Trump convicted him of all charges. Thursday’s ruling made Mr Trump the first former American president convicted of a felony.
Mr Trump will be sentenced on July 11, four days before the Republican convention, where he is expected to be chosen as his party’s nominee for the November 5 presidential election.
