Trump convicted in hush money trial

The 12-member jury in the New York hush money trial involving former U.S. President Donald Trump has found the former American leader guilty.
From a smiling face in the courtroom, Mr Trump’s countenance turned serious when it was announced in the courtroom that the jury had reached a verdict.
With the conviction Mr Trump is the first U.S. president to become a felon. He convicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in a case stemming from a payment that hushed porn star Stormy Daniels.
It took the 12-member jury two days to decide the fate of former American president who has been in a good position until now to contest the presidency again on the platform of the Republican Party.
A guilty verdict was heard 34 times in the courtroom from the jurors as a denouement to a dramatic courtroom drama.
