Benin Electricity, TCN plan partnership to boost power supply

The Management of the Benin Electricity Distribution (BEDC) Plc. has expressed its readiness to partner with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Benin Region, to light up the four states within its coverage areas.

Henry Ajagbawa, the Managing Director of BEDC gave the assurance when he played host to TCN team led by the General Manager Technical, Isaac Okpe, at BEDC headquarters in Benin on Friday.

The BEDC franchise states include Edo, Delta, Ondo and Ekiti.

Mr Okpe was accompanied by the Regional Operations Manager, Joseph Johnson and other TCN key officers in the regional office.

Mr Ajagbawa noted that the meeting would afford the two companies the opportunity to strengthen ties and develop strategies for improved service delivery to customers.

Mr Ajagbawa, who was elated over the visit, said “we need to work hand in hand as partners to meet our organisational goals, vision and mandate.

“I encourage the two teams to meet regularly as it will help solidify the relationship that exists between BEDC and TCN.

“In recent times, we have gone into strategic partnerships with different organisations in a bid to improve the quality of service to our valued customers.”

Mr Okpe also expressed TCN’s willingness to partner BEDC for improved power supply, adding that partnership and relationships were crucial to business success.
