Fire breaks out in Owode-Onirin market in Lagos

The permanent secretary of LASEMA, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed that no casualty or injury were recorded.

There was a fire outbreak on Friday evening at the Owode-Onirin market, along Ikorodu Expressway in Lagos.

Permanent secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed that no casualty or injury were recorded.

“There’s fire outbreak at Owode-Onirin along Ikorodu road and a combined team of LASEMA and Lagos Fire Service currently on ground and battling the fire,” Mr Oke-Osanyintolu said in a brief statement issued on Friday.

“No loss of life nor injury recorded as a result of the incident,” Mr Oke-Osanyintolu added.
