Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo have thanked residents of the state for their turning out at the presidential rally of Bola Tinubu on Thursday.

This is contained in a statement signed by Yemi Aderibigbe, the Deputy Director-General, APC Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council in the state, on Friday in Ibadan.

Mr Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate, was in Ibadan for the party’s rally and endorsement of Teslim Folarin as the party’s governorship candidate.

Mr Aderibigbe, in the statement, said the crowd witnessed at the rally was a confirmation of the people’s love for APC and Mr Tinubu.

He said that the party leaders and members from across the 33 local government areas of the state “profoundly appreciated the love shown to APC by the good people of Oyo State”.

According to him, the number of people that trooped out to receive Mr Tinubu from Alakia Road to New Ife Road, Iwo Road, Idi-Ape, Agodi-Gate, Bus-Stop, Yemetu, Total Garden, Bodija, UI, Oje, Labiran, Bere to Mapo, was massive.

“The massive crowd that cheered Tinubu as the presidential motorcade passed and the campaign train was never recorded in the history of Oyo State. It is a phenomenal, unprecedented,” he said.

Mr Aderibigbe, on behalf of the party, leaders, the state Coordinator of Presidential Campaign Council, Mr Folarin and State Chairman, Isaac Omodewu, appreciated the people.

He also thanked them on behalf of the Council’s Director-General, Isiaka Kolawole, the State Elders’ Council Chairman, Iyiola Oladokun, National, Zonal, State, Local Governments and Ward Officers.

Mr Aderibigbe lauded the support groups, volunteers, traders, social and cultural associations, faith-based groups, professional and vocational unions, artisans, youths as well as students for the love.

He appealed to them to consolidate their love for APC by voting 100 per cent for Tinubu and all the APC National Assembly candidates on February 25.

Mr Aderibigbe urged them to do same for the party’s governorship candidate, Mr Folarin and all the APC State Assembly candidates on March 11.

He maintained that the party, as well as its presidential candidate, would never take their support and love for granted.

Mr Aderibigbe assured the people that Mr Tinubu would build a prosperous Oyo and Nigeria if he becomes president of Nigeria.
