Wife hits husband with pressing iron, destroys his 90 sets of clothes for chatting with girlfriends

A Kano State Shari’a court sitting in Rijiyar Lemu has ordered the remand of a woman, Hafsa Ibrahim, for hitting her husband, Jamilu Muhammad, with a local pressing iron.
The suspect also allegedly cut 90 sets of her husband’s clothes into pieces over suspicion that he chatted with other women on his phone.
The prosecutor, Usman Shuaibu Dala, told the court that aside from the suspect injuring her husband and cutting her husband’s clothes with scissors, she also seized his handset worth N80,000.
Although the defendant denied the allegations, the Khadi, Umar Sunusi Dan Baba, adjourned the case to December 11, 2023, while she is to remain in custody.
