Two Ondo Reps members suffer defeats, lose National Assembly seats to newbies

Tajudeen Adefisoye, the incumbent House of Representatives member, seeking re-election for the Ifedore/Idanre Federal Constituency area of Ondo state, has lost his seat in Saturday’s National Assembly election.
Mr Adefisoye, politically known as “Small Alhaji” among his supporters, was defeated by Festus Akingbaso, the candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
A member of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Adefisoye polled 20,064 votes in the weekend election to lose the seat to Mr Akingbaso, popularly known as “Fessywest”, who scored 24,263 votes to win the exercise.
The winner was declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday.
Also, INEC has announced Jimi Odimayo of the APC as the winner of the Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency Area of the state in the election held the same Saturday.
Mr Odimayo defeated the incumbent lawmaker of the House Representatives representing the constituency, Gboluga Ikengboju of the PDP. In the result, Mr Odimayo polled 44,638 votes to defeat Mr Ikengboju of PDP, who had 21,066 votes.
