Tinubu bringing shame to Yoruba, his ‘Lagos boys’ hungry for money, brainless: Lagos Chief

A Lagos chief, Abisoye Oshodi, popularly known as Balogun Eko, on Wednesday berated President Bola Tinubu over the country’s economic situation and security challenges.
Mr Tinubu was inaugurated as President on May 29, 2023.
Mr Oshodi described the situation as an embarrassment to the President’s tribe.

He stated, “This presidency is becoming an embarrassment for the Yoruba people,” he said while also criticising the President’s close aides as incompetents who couldn’t advise the President right.
Mr Oshodi said that Nigerians were groaning in widespread hunger.
He berated the President’s close aides as “ball boys” whom he said their ambitions and desire for wealth wouldn’t allow them to tell the President “the truth.”
‘‘The people you have surrounded yourself with don’t seem to me to have brains,” he said.
He added, “Your Excellency, if you listen to the groaning of Nigerians there is widespread hunger. The ball boys in Abuja will not be able to tell you the truth.”
Mr Oshodi also said days were counting, saying it was necessary for Mr Tinubu’s government to produce results to the pride of the Yoruba.
“As you said, it was Yoruba’s turn, don’t use your tenure to disgrace us,” Mr Oshodi said in the Instagram video.
The chief’s outburst is the latest against the President.
Fuji singer Wasiu Ayinde recently urged the President to increase efforts in tackling poverty, unemployment, economic crisis and naira depreciation.
