According to the commissioner, the police officers were nabbed during a patrol by the command monitoring unit in various parts of Port Harcourt and are now in detention.
The commissioner said, “During a routine patrol in different parts of the city, we arrested about 13 officers who were indecently dressed.
“This is part of an ongoing effort to stop indecent dressing by officers of the command.
“And the head of the divisions where these arrested officers are serving will be vicariously liable for the personnel’s conduct.

The command assured that the killers of the former Divisional Police Officer of Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state, SP Bako Angbashin, would be arrested and made to face the law, as his death won’t be swept under the carpet.
“I have started fostering a partnership between the police and members of the public.
“I had a meeting twice with the traffic section of the police to remind them that they must be civil in their dealings with members of the public.
“I want to work with members of the public so they can trust us and give us information,” he noted.
