TCN schedules maintenance at Minna substation

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says it plans to carry out a scheduled maintenance exercise on its 60 megavolt-ampere (MVA) 132/33 kilovolt (kV) transformer at the Minna Transmission Substation on Thursday.
The exercise is scheduled to take place from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Ndidi Mbah, TCN’s general manager, public affairs, said this in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday.
“TCN hereby notifies the public of a scheduled maintenance exercise on its 60MVA 132/33kV transformer at the Minna Transmission Substation on Thursday, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
“Consequently, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to off-take electricity from the transformer to customers in Zarumai, Maitumbi, General Hospital Minna, IBB Uphill, parts of Tunga, Bosso, and surrounding areas,” she said.
Ms Mbah added that TCN apologised for any inconvenience the maintenance might cause electricity customers in the affected areas.
