Speeding vehicle crushes two Lagos students on BRT lane

The police command says two siblings returning from school have been hit by a speeding vehicle.
The accident occurred on Monday on a BRT corridor along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
In a statement on Tuesday, the command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that one of the victims, a 12-year-old, died in the hospital.
The older sibling, 15, remains in the hospital.
“The accident victims sustained serious degrees of injuries and were quickly evacuated to Orile Agege General Hospital for treatment, where the 12-year-old sadly passed on while receiving treatment, while the other victim was later transferred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) for further treatment,” said a statement by the police.
