Police arraign two men for allegedly stealing property worth N460, 000

Two men, Taofeek Wasiu, 26, and Akinsola Babatunde, 21, were on Tuesday arraigned before a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing property worth N460,000.
The defendants whose addresses were not provided are facing a two-count charge of felony and stealing.
They however pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.
The Prosecutor, ASP Edet Ekpo, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on February 16, at about 11a.m., at Fawa Street, Iragon, Ikoga area of Badagry, Lagos State.
Mr Ekpo said that the defendants conspired among themselves to steal property valued at N460, 000 belonging to thre complainant, Dare Odeku.
He said that the offences contravened Sections 411 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State.
The Chief Magistrate, N. A. Layeni, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N1 million each with two sureties in like sum.
He adjourned the case until March 26, for mention.
