The Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders have called on the people of the area to love one another as well as unite towards building a strong and progressive society.

SKCLA President, Emanuel Kure, made the call while speaking at the Annual Southern Kaduna Prayer Summit convened by the group on Saturday in Kafanchan.

He said, “It’s time to unite and become one mind with one goal to build and rebuild structures of Southern Kaduna. We must unite and love our neighbours including Muslims; otherwise there will be no future for us.’

Mr Kure explained that embracing the future with hope has become necessary to allow the people to rebuild their land and move forward.

He commended the federal and state governments for the relative peace being enjoyed in Southern Kaduna in recent times.

He stated, “With the coming of the present administration, insecurity seems to have fizzled out in this part of the state. For the last two years, we can now breathe and sleep with our two eyes closed as there is such calm and peace in the land now.’’

He tasked the Southern Kaduna elites on the need to take advantage of the peace being enjoyed by setting up industries that would provide employment to the teeming youths of the area.

The Guest Speaker, Bishop Zakka of the Anglican Diocese of Kano, stated that 2025 would see a turnaround in Southern Kaduna and the lives of its people.

Mr Zakka called on the people to make sacrifices to achieve God’s purpose for the zone.

In his remarks, the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Henry Magaji, described Southern Kaduna as a rich land with immense potential.

Mr Magaji enjoined the people to rally behind the state government to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

The summit, which had the theme, “Come, let us reason together,’’ featured song ministration and prayers for Southern Kaduna, the state and Nigeria in general.
