RRS raids Lagos hideouts, arrests 26 suspected criminals

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the police command in Lagos State have raided criminals’ hideouts at Ojota and arrested 26 suspects at the MKO Garden.
RRS confirmed the arrest in a post it shared on its official X handle @rrsLagos767 on Saturday.
It stated that the suspects were arrested at 11.38 p.m. on Thursday.
“The operatives of RRS combing Olusosun, Ojota, uncompleted buildings in Otedola Bridge and Kurata, all notorious for being criminals’ dens, arrested 26 suspects at MKO Garden, Ojota.
The RSS said, “Two robbery victims were rescued. The arrest is sequel to the directive of the Commissioner of Police Adegoke Fayoade to Commander of RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, to step up surveillance and arrest criminals in some black spots within the metropolis.’’
It stated that after a thorough screening of the suspects by Mr Egbeyemi, 16 persons were released to their relatives, while 10 suspects would be charged to court.
According to RRS, Mr Egbeyemi has assured that the squad will sustain its surveillance.
