Osun assembly confirms Gov Adeleke’s 25 commissioners

Osun House of Assembly, on Tuesday, confirmed all 25 nominees of Governor Ademola Adeleke as commissioners.
During the plenary meeting, Adewale Egbedun, the assembly speaker, confirmed all the nominees after the last 13 nominees appeared before the house on Monday for screening.
Mr Egbedun said in line with section 192 (2) of the Constitution of Nigeria 1999 (amended), the assembly confirmed all the nominees as commissioners of the state.
He said, “Consequently, the governor can go ahead with the formal swearing-in of the commissioners-designate.”
The speaker, after that, ordered the clerk of the house, Simeon Amusan, to invite the permanent secretary in the Osun Ministry of Works to appear before the parliament on Monday “in connection with road works in the state.’’
Similarly, Mr Egbedun ordered the Peculiar Concerns Ltd CEO, Olarenwaju Adeleke, to reappear alongside the permanent secretary to furnish the assembly with the status of the firm’s ongoing road construction and re-construction.
