NSCDC trains 64 private security guards in Kwara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Kwara command, has trained 64 private security guards to enhance their performance and efficiency in security and protection duties.
The state commandant, Umar Mohammed, on Wednesday in Kwara at the end of the two weeks training, said the participants were drawn from various licensed private security companies.
Mr Mohammed, represented by the deputy commandant, NSCDC, Kwara command, Danladi Darlong, noted that the trainees had undergone two weeks of intensive training.
According to him, the participants were exposed to modern approaches to intelligence gathering, surveillance, and the knowledge and skills needed to tackle insecurity in the state.
“These men have been exposed to different techniques for detecting any malicious plan by criminals to unleash terror in the state,” he said.
The commandant urged the trainees to remain vigilant and responsive in their duties, as well as report any unethical conduct to the appropriate authorities, for timely action.
Paris Agege, state chairman, Private Security Guards Company, commended the corps for its pivotal role in ensuring that the guards were well-trained and equipped.
He called on the trainees to make judicious use of the opportunity given to them and wholeheartedly protect lives and properties in the state.
All the participants of the training were awarded with certificates for the successful completion of the training.
