Many Nigerians suffering under Tinubu’s govt, says Buhari’s ex-aide Bashir Ahmad

Bashir Ahmad, a former aide to immediate past president, Muhammadu Buhari, has raised the alarm over economic hardship under President Bola Tinubu’s government which has left many Nigerians “suffering.”
“Truly, many people are struggling silently, in these times of critical economic hardship,” Mr Ahmad, a pro-Tinubu campaigner on social media, wrote on X on Wednesday.
Mr Ahmad urged Nigerians to support other citizens who have been plunged into poverty amid unprecedented economic hardship under Mr Tinubu’s watch.
“Let’s extend a helping hand to as many people as we can, even when they don’t ask for it. Small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Encourage those in your circle to also do the same,” Mr Ahmad said.
Mr Ahmad’s plea for support for suffering Nigerians comes amid the latest upward review of pump prices by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company on Wednesday, which saw fuel prices rise above N1,030 per litre.
Reacting to the latest fuel hike on X, some Nigerians berated Mr Tinubu, calling him various names like ‘T-Pain’, ‘Pharaoh’, ‘emir of hardship’, while dismissing his Renewed Hope slogan as ‘Renewed Shege’.
