NSCDC deploys 2,000 officers for Eid-el-Kabir celebration in Kwara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 2,000 operatives to ensure security before, during and after the forthcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebration in Kwara.
In a statement issued to journalists on Friday in Ilorin, the acting Commandant, Jonah Gabriel, ordered the deployment across the 16 local government areas of the state.
The commandant emphasised that the personnel were strategically deployed to secure lives and properties of residents of the state throughout the festive period and beyond.
He appealed to the populace to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement, and urged people to be peaceful and moderate in their celebration to forestall any security breach.
He also asked parents to caution their children during the celebration, vowing that the corps would not entertain any act that could threaten the security of the state.
