NLC condoles with Niger deputy governor over wife’s death

The Niger State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress has condoled with the state Deputy Governor, Yakubu Garba, over the death of his wife, Zainab Garba.
The Niger State NLC Chairman, Orders Lafene, led the members of the union to the residence of the deputy governor on a condolence visit in Minna on Wednesday.
The deceased died on Tuesday during a brief illness and had been buried according to Islamic rites.
Mr Lafene explained that the visit was to condole with the deputy governor who was from the labour family over the demise of his wife.
“We came to condole with him over the loss of his wife. This is because the deputy governor is one of us, we come from the labour family. We mobilise all the labour family to condole with him and register our sympathy. ‘
He noted that the death of his wife was a great loss.
Mr Lafene encouraged the deputy governor to take heart, adding that it was God that gives and takes, and that death was inevitable.
