Man, 25, arraigned for allegedly stealing electric wires worth N900,000

A 25-year-old man, Quyum Musbau, was brought before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Thursday for allegedly stealing electric wires valued at N900,000.
Musbau, whose address was not provided, was charged with conspiracy and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Olagoke Adegbenro, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on June 3, at about 7.00 a.m, at Ring Road area of Ibadan.
Mr Adegbenro alleged that the defendant and others at large stole cables and conduit wires belonging to Abiola Waheed and Kingsley Osas.
According to him, the total value of the electric wires stolen by the defendant was N900,000.
He said the offences contravened Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until July 21 for hearing.
