Malaysia exports $13.31 billion worth of palm oil in eight months

Malaysia’s palm oil stocks rose 18.16 per cent from the previous month to 2.09 million tonnes in August, official data showed Monday.
According to the Malaysian Palm Oil Board, the world’s second-largest palm oil producer saw its crude palm oil production grow 9.67 per cent month on month to 1.73 million tonnes in August.
Palm oil exports slipped 1.94 per cent month on month to 1.3 million tons in the same month.
From January to August, Malaysia exported 9.81 million tonnes of palm oil worth 59.93 billion ringgit (13.31 billion U.S. dollars).
