Madiba Foundation celebrates Mandela Day with South African mission in Nigeria

Madiba Foundation for Good Governance joined the South African High Commission in Nigeria to celebrate Nelson Mandela International Day 2022.
The United Nations set July 18 to celebrate the global icon and the ideals he promoted worldwide.
The yearly celebration encourages people to carry out acts of kindness that should last for a minimum of 67 minutes in their communities. The 67 represents each year that Nelson Mandela fought for human rights and social justice.
This year’s celebration was an outreach at the Halal Children’s Home in Abuja, where the team carried out various activities such as gardening, cleaning, painting, and cooking for the children.
Also present at the event were the National Institute for Tourism and Hospitality, MTN, Multichoice, Access Bank, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and other organisations.
The Madiba Foundation team also graced another event commemorating the day in Abuja.
The event was put together by Engage, Empower Educate Initiative, featuring the screening of the movie, A Long Walk to Freedom, among other side activities.
