LG Elections: KAD-SIECOM releases timetable for screening of candidates

The Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KAD-SIECOM) has presented a timetable for the screening exercise for Councillorship and Chairmanship candidates ahead of the local government election slated for October 19, 2024.
This was disclosed in a timetable signed by Hajara Mohammed, KAD-SIECOM’s chairwoman, issued on Friday.
It showed that the screening exercise for all the chairmanship and councillorship candidates had been slated for September 9 to 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. daily at the local government headquarters.
“I wish to refer to Section 19 of the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission Law 2024, item No. 9 of the 2024 Local Government Council Election Time Table and P.9, item No. 3 of the Guidelines,” said the KAD-SIECOM boss.
