Jos: 18-year-old jailed for drug trafficking, abuse

A Jos Magistrates’ Court on Monday sentenced an 18-year-old trader, Veirat Dalyop, to three months in prison for selling and consuming hard drugs.
Magistrate Shawomi Bokkos summarily tried and sentenced the convict who pleaded guilty to the charge.
However, the magistrate gave the convict a N20,000 fine option.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Ahmed Labaran, told the court that the case was reported at the ‘A’ Division Police Station on March 4, by officers on routine patrols.
Mr Labaran said the convict was found with a bag of dry leaves suspected to be marijuana.
