Jigawa police command begins shooting exercise for new constables Saturday

The police command in Jigawa State said it will soon begin a shooting range exercise for newly recruited police constables in the state.
The command spokesman SP Lawan Shiisu, announced this in a statement in Dutse on Friday.
He said the exercise would take place from April 19 to May 11 in Tsohon Kafi village, Birnin Kudu Local Government Area.
Mr Shiisu explained that the activity aimed to improve the weapon handling, marksmanship, and readiness of the new constables.
The exercise aligns with the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to professionalism, operational standards, and public safety. He urged residents not to panic if they hear gunshots during the training period.
The spokesman assured the public that all activities would be safely conducted under strict supervision.
He thanked residents for their continued support and cooperation in maintaining peace and security across Jigawa.
