Jigawa approves N1 billion for cardiac centre project
The Jigawa State Government has approved N1.1 billion for the construction of the Cardiac Centre Dutse.
This is contained in a statement by the Commissioner for Information, Youths, Sports and Culture, Sagir Musa, on Tuesday in Dutse.
He said the State Executive Council approved the fund to facilitate smooth execution of the project.
The commissioner said the council approved over N400 million for the construction and equipping of a diagnostic centre and cryo-oxygen plant in Dutse.
According to Mr Musa, the development is in line with the government’s plans to establish a medical village to enhance access to world-class healthcare services in the state.
He said the council also approved a N510 million contract for the construction of a two-storey building office complex of the State Universal Basic Education Board.
