Iyaloja tells Tinubu to deal with cabals, saboteurs causing hardship in Nigeria

On Tuesday, Adebukola Osho, the Iyaloja of Ikorodu Central, urged Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ to revamp the nation’s economy while urging Mr Tinubu to clamp down on saboteurs.
Ms Osho made the appeal in an interview with journalists in Ikorodu, Lagos.
“I appeal to Nigerians to be patient with the present administration’s drive to put the economy on the right path. The government will soon roll out the compressed natural gas buses to cushion the effect of transportation and many other palliatives, so let us exercise patience,” she said.
Ms Osho urged the government to provide affordable shops for traders to curb street trading. She said many street traders have lost their lives while doing business to make ends meet.
“I appeal to the government at all levels to talk to the traditional rulers for space to build more markets for traders. They should build shops that are affordable so that every trader can afford them.
“Street trading has become the norm because most of the shops built by governments are too expensive to be acquired by petty traders. I also encourage community development associations to look for available space for them to build markets in their localities,” she said.
The Iyaloja urged the government to ensure that the price regulatory agency carries out its duty to checkmate hoarding and inflation of commodity prices by greedy racketeers.
Ms Osho claimed that the current inflation “is caused by greedy racketeers trying to sabotage the government’s effort,” calling on the Tinubu government “to deal with those cabals who are saboteurs and causing hardship to Nigerians.”
