I refurbished transformers, graded roads in Nasarawa to ease my constituents’ suffering: Deputy Speaker

The Deputy Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Muhammad Oyanki, said he refurbished four transformers in his constituency to address electricity problems in the area.
Mr Oyanki also said he graded some street roads and remodelled some clinics to improve the standard of living of his people.
The deputy speaker disclosed this on Monday while conducting journalists round the various development project sites he initiated in his constituency in Doma LGA
While inspecting the projects, Mr Oyanki (PDP-Doma North), assured of more interventions for his constituents.
He said, “I remodelled different clinics as well and sunk boreholes and grade roads in my constituency. This is a homecoming and I am also here today to sympathise with some people of my constituency over the deaths of their family members. I am able to refurbish four transformers as electricity is important. One needs light to survive as far as I am concerned and businesses need light to thrive,”
The deputy speaker assured the youth and other people in his constituency of empowerment and other projects to better their standard of living.
“Youth development and value addition is our watchword,” the lawmaker said.
He urged the people in his constituency to continue to keep trust in him, adding that he would continue to do his best for them.
“I want to urge my people to continue to support me, keep trusting me as I will continue to do my best for them,” he added.
The deputy speaker solicited the support of his people to enable him to succeed. He assured the people of his constituency of more dividends of democracy.
Responding , the Deputy Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Doma Chapter, Agani Samuel and Mr Saidu Omame, a resident of Doma, appreciated Mr Oyanki for coming to their aid and prayed to God to bless him.
Some of the projects visited included a 500KVA transformer at Rice Mill Tudu Laraba; rehabilitation of Government College Street Road and Alhaji Abubakar Mairobo Street, among others.
In a related development, the deputy speaker paid condolence visits to some families in Doma LGA.
Among those he consoled were the family of the late Prince Ibrahim Yahaya, son to the late Commissioner of Police, Mr Yahaya Ari.
The deputy speaker urged the family to take solace in God and prayed to God to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.
Responding on behalf of the family, Mrs Mairo Yahaya, appreciated the deputy speaker for identifying with them at their trial moment and prayed God to bless him abundantly.
