Hajj: Osun registers 1,500 prospective pilgrims

About 1,500 prospective pilgrims in Osun State may perform this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
The Chairman of the State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board, Maruf Ishola, said this during an enlightenment programme for the intending pilgrims on Wednesday in Osogbo.
Mr Ishola said that the prospective pilgrims had deposited their Hajj fees with the board towards a successful preparation.
He said the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria had allocated 1,500 seats for the pilgrimage in the state, adding that Ogun State had the highest registration and clearance in the South-West.
He, however, called on the prospective pilgrims that had yet to complete the remaining payment of their fees to do so without delay.
Mr Ishola also assured the intending pilgrims that necessary logistics had been put in place for a hitch-free Hajj.
