Governor Okpebholo dissolves boards of Edo MDAs

Governor Monday Okpebholo on Wednesday announced the dissolution of the boards of all ministries, departments and agencies in Edo with immediate effect.

Governor Monday Okpebholo on Wednesday announced the dissolution of the boards of all ministries, departments and agencies in Edo with immediate effect.

Mr Okpebholo was sworn in as the new Edo governor on Tuesday after Godwin Obaseki’s tenure expired.

This dissolution of the boards was announced in a statement by the new governor’s chief press secretary, Fred Itua.

The statement also said that all the permanent secretaries appointed from outside the public and civil service have been relieved of their appointments.

It directed affected appointees to hand over all the government property in their possession to the most senior public officers in their respective MDAs.
