Gov. Yusuf donates land for North-West commission’s headquarters in Kano

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has donated land for the construction of the North-West Development Commission’s permanent site.
Mr Yusuf disclosed this while receiving the commission’s chairman, Lawal Yakawada, at the government house on Thursday in Kano.
He said the gesture was to support the commission’s efforts in promoting regional development and expressed readiness to partner with it.
The governor commended President Bola Tinubu for establishing the commission and lauded the decision to locate its headquarters in Kano.
Earlier, the commission’s chairman, Mr Yakawada, sought collaboration with the Kano government to achieve its objectives.
He said the commission was established to boost development within the North-West states and address remote and immediate challenges of insecurity, hunger, poverty, and malnutrition.
