Gov. Radda hails Emir of Daura’s commitment to peace in Katsina

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has commended the Emir of Daura, Umar Farouk, for his contributions to national unity and peaceful co-existence.
The governor spoke on Saturday during the installation ceremony of three eminent personalities honoured with traditional titles at the emir’s palace in Daura.
Mr Radda praised the emir for conferring traditional titles across Nigeria’s geo-political zones, describing the selection as an example of leadership that transcended ethnicity and religion.
He said, “I have closely observed the impactful leadership of the emir, his unwavering commitment to the well-being of his people and the integrity of this nation is something we must all emulate. His Royal Highness does not isolate himself behind walls. He goes into communities, listens to the people, and responds with compassion. That is the kind of leadership that transforms societies.”
According to Mr Radda, despite his age and influence, Mr Farouk owns no mansion houses or personal wealth.
The governor said, “Yet, he has built something more valuable — unity and dignity among his people.’’
Mr Radda reassured the people of Daura Emirate of his administration’s resolve to improve the lives of the poor and underserved across the state.
He stated, “We will continue to work with you, stand by you, and invest in what matters; healthcare, education, rural development, and peace.’’
He urged the newly turbaned title holders to serve as worthy and reliable ambassadors of the emirate.
In his response, the emir explained that the honourees were selected after a rigorous background assessment to recognise their humanitarian services and an unblemished integrity.
Mr Farouk eulogised Mr Radda, describing his approach as “a leadership style defined by compassion and selflessness.”
He offered prayers for continued peace and prosperity in Katsina State and Nigeria in general.
The dignitaries in attendance included The Ejeh of Ankpa, Abubakar Ahmad, Speaker, State House of Assembly, Nasir Daura and the Chief of Staff to Governor Radda, Abdulkadir Nasir, among others.
