Police arrest 10 over kidnap, murder of man near piggery farm in Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested ten suspects over the lifeless body of an alleged kidnapped victim found in a piggery farm at Nimo last Monday.
The command said in a statement on Sunday that operatives of its Rapid Response Squad, Awkuzu, arrested the suspects on Saturday.
It said the suspects are being interrogated over their connection to the incident, before embarking on its next line of action.
The command said, “Police Operatives attached to the Rapid Response Squad Awkuzu on 28th June 2025 arrested ten (10) suspects over an ongoing investigation of a recovered lifeless body of an alleged kidnapped victim near a piggery farm at Nimo on 23rd June 2025.
“While the suspects are still undergoing interrogation over the incident, the operatives are ready to proceed to the next line of action after processing the information as directed by CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc MNIPS PhD, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Police Command.”
The command assured the public that further development regarding the incident would be communicated.
