Football Money League: Real Madrid emerge as highest-earning club globally, Man United drop to eighth

In the report, Real Madrid generated a whopping £975 million in revenue during the 2024/25 football season, remaining the wealthiest club globally.

La Liga side Real Madrid has maintained its position as the highest-earning club in the world as Manchester United dropped to the lowest position ever, according to the ‘Football Money League’ report released by Deloitte for 2026.

In the report, Real Madrid generated a whopping £975 million in revenue during the 2024/25 football season, remaining the wealthiest club globally.

They are followed closely by their Spanish archrivals, Barcelona, which earned £819 million in the same period.

It was a big leap for Barcelona after ranking sixth last year. Bayern Munich also moved up to third from fifth position last year after the German champions generated £723 million in the 2024/25 campaign.

Despite their success last season, Paris Saint-Germain dropped a position to fourth this year. The French Ligue side earned £702 million during the 2024/25 campaign.

Liverpool gained three places from eighth last year to fifth to emerge as the highest-earning Premier League club, with a total of £702 million revenue last season.

Arsenal and Manchester City followed closely, raking in £697 million and £690 million, respectively.

Manchester United ranked eighth on the list, the club’s lowest position ever, having dropped from fourth last year. The Red Devils earned £666 million in revenue during the 2024/25 season.

Meanwhile, Tottenham and Chelsea were ninth and 10th on the list, having made £565 million and £452 million, respectively, last season.
