FG commends Governor Soludo’s efforts to promote tourism in Anambra

Lola Ade-John, Minister of Tourism, commended Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra on Monday for his ingenuity in developing and repositioning tourism in the state.
Ms Ade-John spoke at the Anambra Picnic/Funfair organised to boost the creative economy in the state.
The minister, represented by the executive director of the Tourism Volunteers Network, Phil Robert, described Anambra as a hidden hub blessed with diverse tourism attractions capable of attracting visitors worldwide.
The minister said Mr Soludo’s efforts to boost the creative economy through massive developments to promote the tourism industry in the state were commendable.
“Enhancing the creative economy by extensively developing captivating tourist sites like the Solution Fun City, Agulu Lake Leisure Park, and Solution Neighbourhood Leisure Park, amongst others.
“Your efforts have been instrumental in showcasing the state’s amazing tourist attractions and vibrant landscapes.
“This programme just reveals the state’s unique attractions and the hospitality of the people as unique,” she said.
Earlier, Mr Soludo said the well-harnessed tourism potential would increase the state’s internally generated revenue and provide the people with renewed hope of living.
Mr Soludo, represented by the Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Don Onyenji, said his administration was determined to give a facelift to the tourism industry.
The head of the ministry’s tourism department, Chioma Afuba, urged investors to participate in the state’s development and encouraged both local and international tourists to explore Anambra State’s magnificent attractions, highlighting the state’s exceptional hospitality.
