Ex-Arsenal player Thomas Partey faces multiple rape charges in UK

Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been charged with several serious sexual offences by the Metropolitan Police.
The 32-year-old is facing five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault involving three different women.
According to authorities, two of the rape charges concern one individual; three are connected to a second woman, and the sexual assault charge involves a third.
The incidents are reported to have taken place between 2021 and 2022.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed that it had reviewed evidence submitted by police investigators and granted approval for the charges to proceed.
In an official statement, the CPS noted: “The Metropolitan Police Service has issued a charge and court summons to Thomas Partey, born 13 June 1992 and residing in Hertfordshire, in relation to the following: five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.”
Partey, who recently parted ways with Arsenal after his contract ended earlier this month, is due to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 5.
