Gov. Yusuf reshuffles key agencies, appoints seven new officials

Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has approved the appointment of seven officials into key positions across strategic government agencies, as part of the ongoing efforts to enhance governance and service delivery.
This is contained in a statement issued on Friday in Kano by the director-general, media and publicity, Government House, Sunusi Bature.
The newly appointed officials included Bashir Muzakkar as director-general, Kano State Information and Communication Technologies Development Agency (KASITDA).
Until his appointment, Mr Muzakkar was the special adviser to the governor on digital and creative economy.
Kabiru Dakata was also named director-general, State Advert and Signage Agency (KASA), while Fatima Abubakar was appointed director-general, State Social Protection Agency (KASPA) who previously served as special adviser on enlightenment and social mobilisation.
Others were: Isyaku Umar- Kwa, deputy managing director of the State Housing Corporation; Hamisu Danzaki, executive secretary, State Scholarship Board; and Isma’il Nasarawa, provost, Anti-corruption Institute.
Mohammed Gabasawa was also appointed commandant of the Corporate Security Institute.
Mr Yusuf expressed confidence in the capacity and commitment of the new appointees to support his administration’s development agenda and reforms across key sectors of the state.
