Dolly Parton’s husband, Carl Dean, dies at 82

Country singer Dolly Parton’s husband has died. Carl Dean died on Monday in Nashville, Tennessee.
He was 82.
Dolly Parton announced her husband’s demise on her Instagram.
“Carl Dean, husband of Dolly Parton, passed away March 3rd in Nashville at the age of 82,” the country singer stated. “He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony with immediate family attending.”
While thanking people for their support, the artiste asked for privacy at this time.
“Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can’t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy,” she said.
Born in Nashville on July 20, 1942, Mr Dean avoided the limelight amid his wife’s stardom.
He met the country music icon in 1964, and they got married in 1966 in a private ceremony in Ringgold, Georgia, due to her record label asking her to delay her marriage and focus on her career.
Before retiring, Mr Dean ran a successful asphalt paving business in Tennessee for many years.
He was survived by his wife and siblings, Sandra and Donnie.
