Controversial singer, Portable, arraigned for assaulting Ogun govt officials

The police on Thursday, arraigned singer Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, at an Ogun State Magistrates’ Court, Isabo, Abeokuta, Ogun State, for alleged ssault.
The controversy singer was arraigned after he surrendered to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, on Wednesday, before he was handed over to the Ogun State Police Command.
The singer on February 5, 2025, was said to have led his associates to attack officials of the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority carrying out legitimate enforcement at his bar in the Sango Ota area of the state.
Three of the officials attempting to seal his bar for lacking approved permits and insufficient air space, were saud to have been inflicted with injuries during the attack but later escaped.
Nine of his associates who carried out the attack were arrested and arraigned on a five-count charge, including armed violence, felony, obstruction, assault, and intent to kill.
The singer went into hiding and the Ogun State Police Command declared him wanted on February 18 before he turned himself in on Wednesday.
