Benue residents urged to intensify prayers for Gov. Alia to succeed

Senator Barnabas Gemade has called on the Benue people to support and pray for Governor Hyacinth Alia to enable him to achieve his vision for the state.
Mr Gemade made the call on Sunday at a thanksgiving service in honour of the technical adviser to Mr Alia on media, publicity and strategic communication, Solomon Iorpev, at Tse-Agberagba in Konshisha Local Government.
The former senator representing Benue North East said the governor had been selfless in providing purposeful leadership beyond the people’s imagination and should be allowed to serve the state as governor for two terms.
He assured Mr Iorpev that he would continue to stand by him to serve the governor effectively and encouraged him to remain loyal and committed to his work.
The permanent secretary, Government House Administration, Bartholomew Ageraga, advised youths to respect elders and desist from insulting leaders on social media.
Mr Iorpev was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Akinde U Mbavaa.
