Bauchi governor asks Nigerians to pray for hardship to end

Governor Bala Mohammed called on Muslims on Monday to offer special prayers for Nigeria’s economic recovery.
They made the call during the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad in Bauchi.
Mr Mohammed, represented by Deputy Governor Auwal Jatau, noted that the Holy Prophet preached peace, honesty, patience, generosity, humility, sincerity, love, and fear of God.
Mr Mohammed urged citizens to reflect on their relationship with God and fellow humans, making amends where necessary.
He also called for prayers for peace, particularly in states facing security challenges.
Mr Mohammed acknowledged the current economic hardship and assured that his administration is working to mitigate its effects.
He appealed to the public to pray for Allah’s intervention to end the economic woes.
“May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad. May Allah continue to guide and protect us,” Mr Mohammed said.
Muslims celebrate Prophet Muhammad’s birth on the 12th day of Rabiʻ al-awwal, characterised especially by reciting panegyrical poems honouring him.
