Army chief tasks depot on effective training

The Chief of Army Staff, Olufemi Oluyede, has charged the Nigerian Army Depot in Osogbo to ensure effective training and professionalism in producing top-notch soldiers.
Mr Oluyede gave the charge during his maiden operational visit to the depot on Monday, according to a statement by the army.
The army chief urged officers and instructors to align with his vision of enhancing the Nigerian army’s capabilities in discharging its constitutional responsibilities.
According to him, the quality of soldiers produced directly reflects on the army’s image and national security.
He charged them to train the recruits with passion, focusing on capacity development with the sole aim of producing high-quality personnel.
The army chief toured and inspected the training facilities and infrastructure within the depot.
He also assessed the current state of readiness and identified areas for improvement, aiming to enhance the army’s operational readiness and performance.
