Zaria cleric Sheikh Rigi-Rigi dies at 57
Islamic cleric Usman Idris, aka Rigi-Rigi, has died.
He was 57.
Nasiruddeen Umar, aka Baharu, a senior disciple of the cleric, disclosed this on Monday in Zaria.
Mr Umar disclosed that the cleric died in the early hours of Monday at a private hospital in Kaduna after battling an illness for a few months.
The deceased was known for his Islamic teachings and had gained significant popularity on TikTok and other social media platforms.
The cleric was survived by four wives, 37 children, and many grandchildren.
Mr Umar added that the funeral prayer for the deceased was scheduled to take place in Kusfa, Zaria, by 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
