Zamfara governor seeks dualisation of Funtua- Gusau Road

Governor Duada Lawal of Zamfara has called on the federal government to dualise the Gusau to Funtua road to fast-track the state’s development.
This is contained in a statement by Nuhu Salihu, the governor’s spokesperson, in Gusau on Monday.
Mr Lawal made the call when he paid a courtesy visit to the permanent secretary of the Federal Ministry of Works, Mamuda Mamman, in his office.
He said it was part of his campaign promises to bring changes that would positively touch the lives of the state’s residents.
Mr Lawal added that the dualisation of the road was a critical project that would boost socio-economic activities in the state.
He expressed the state’s readiness to partner with the federal government in bringing meaningful projects that would directly affect the state’s residents.
Responding, Mr Mamman assured of the ministry’s readiness to partner with the Zamfara government in road construction to bolster the development of the state.
