Zamfara Assembly extends tenure of 14 LG sole administrators

The Zamfara House of Assembly, on Monday, extended the tenure of 14 local government sole administrators of the state by six months.
The extension followed the presentation of the report of the special committee of the assembly during the plenary conducted by the deputy speaker, Adamu Aliyu (PDP-Gummi).
Gov. Dauda Lawal recently sent a request through the office of the secretary to the state government for an extension of the tenure of the local government interim administrators by six months as required by the law.
After deliberations by the lawmakers, the Speaker, Bilyaminu Moriki, said that members of the House unanimously approved the request of the governor for extension of the tenure.
Mr Moriki urged the sole administrators to justify the confidence reposed in them and to ensure good governance in their respective local government areas.
