Youth council hails new minister, seeks more opportunities for development

The National Youth Council of Nigeria, South-West Zone, has congratulated the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, on his elevation to a substantive ministerial position.
The Vice President, National Youth Council of Nigeria, South-West Zone, Oluwatomi Amosu, said in a statement on Thursday in Lagos.
Mr Amosu said that the remarkable achievement was a testament to his dedication and commitment to youth development.
President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday approved the reassignment of 10 ministers to new portfolios, discharged five, and nominated seven new others for onward transmission to the Senate for confirmation.
The group stated, “This remarkable achievement is a testament to your dedication to youth development, and it further confirms that your many years of commitment to youth work are now bearing fruit. Your tenure in youth service has been one marked by significant strides, touching every facet of the youth constituency. The recent appraisal of your milestones in office showcases the depth of your impact as you continue to champion policies and initiatives that uplift and empower young Nigerians. We commend you for your relentless efforts and visionary leadership.’’
The youth leader said the members remained steadfast in their commitment to building a better Nigeria by investing in and empowering the youth.
He urged the federal government to create a more enabling environment for youths to strive for a better future.
Mr Amosu also enjoined the minister to break new ground and create more opportunities for youth inclusion in politics and governance.
He said, “Your leadership is a beacon of hope for young Nigerian citizens who aspire to serve their country faithfully with their talents and skills. As you continue to break new ground, we implore you to create more opportunities for youth inclusion in politics and governance. We will also encourage other young leaders to emulate your courage, commitment, and passion for youth development. We particularly commend you for the forthcoming youth confab. Your tireless efforts to bring this important platform to fruition are a testament to your ability to lead and inspire”.’’
