Yobe governor felicitates Muslims

Yobe State governor, Mai Buni, has congratulated Muslims on the completion of the one month Ramadan fast.
The Director-General Press, and Media Affairs to the governor, Mamman Mohammed, stated this while addressing journalists on Tuesday in Damaturu.
The governor prayed to Almighty Allah (SWT) to accept every act of worship executed by the Muslims during the holy month.
Mr Buni enjoined Muslims to take the lessons of sacrifice, care and compassion exhibited during the fasting period beyond the Ramadan season.
He expressed happiness with the feeding programmes provided by the state government, individuals, and corporate organisations to orphans, indigent families, and vulnerable groups.
The governor advised the Muslims to continue to be good neighbours to one another and extend the spirit of the season to their neighbours.
Mr Buni commended the security agencies in the state for their valued contributions to peace and stability of the state.
He reminded the people of the state to continue to pray for the unity, peace, security and prosperity of Yobe and Nigeria.
Mr Buni expressed the gratitude of the government and the people of the state to Almighty Allah for the improved peace and security being enjoyed across the state.
The governor said the government would launch a massive agricultural programme to facilitate agricultural revolution in the state to enhance food sufficiency and security.
“I wish to use this opportunity to appeal to the good people of Yobe, especially our energetic youths to take advantage of this intervention to explore, exploit and expand the agricultural potential in your various communities. Our government is committed to making agriculture productive, attractive, and profitable in the state. This is to promote food sufficiency and security in the state,” he said.
He assured the people of the state that the government would continue to provide the necessary infrastructure to fastrack development to improve the lives of the people.
“I pray and wish everyone a peaceful and memorable Sallah celebration,” he added.
