Woman arraigned over alleged theft of company’s N3 million

A 31-year-old woman, Mary Olaleye, was on Thursday arraigned in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court Ibadan, Oyo State, for allegedly stealing her company’s N3, 187,000.
Olaleye, whose address was not provided, was charged with conspiracy and stealing.
She however pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Adeshina Folaranmi told the court that the defendant committed the offences between May 2023 and November 2024, at Diran Alabi Trading Company, Dugbe, Ibadan.
Mr Folaranmi alleged that the defendant, who is an employee of the company, conspired with others now at large and stole the money from the company.
He said the offences contravened Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Oluwabusayo Osho, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N1 million with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until April 22, for hearing. (NAN)
