The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has unveiled the list of 12 clubs that will participate in the 2025 NVBF Super Cup for men and women, scheduled to be held in Abuja.

The tournament will take place from January 30 to February 8 at the Indoor Sports Hall, Package B, Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

President of the federation, Musa Nimrod, said in a statement on Monday that the Super Cup, one of NVBF’s flagship competitions, was designed to showcase elite volleyball talent across the country.

Nimrod said the competition was also aimed at fostering competitiveness, excellence, and the sustainable development of volleyball in Nigeria.

According to him, the invited teams were selected based on their performances and status within their respective divisions, a move expected to guarantee a highly competitive tournament.

In the Premier Division (Men), the participating teams are the Chief of Naval Staff Volleyball Club (CNS), the Nigeria Customs Service Volleyball Club (NCS), and the Nigeria Correctional Service Volleyball Club (NCoS).

The Premier Division (Women) will feature Nigeria Customs Service Volleyball Club (NCS), Chief of Naval Staff Volleyball Club (CNS), and Chief of Army Staff Volleyball Club (COAS).

For the Division I (Men) category, the competing teams are Defence Spikers Volleyball Club, Ajase Ipo Volleyball Club, and Life Camp Volleyball Club.

The Division I (Women) category will include Vipers Volleyball Club, Abuja, Federal Fire Service Volleyball Club, and Excelsior Volleyball Club, Abia State.

Nimrod assured stakeholders, participating clubs, athletes, officials, and fans of a well-organised competition that would meet international standards and contribute meaningfully to the growth of volleyball in the country.

He added that details on match fixtures, technical meetings, accreditation, and logistics would be communicated in due course.

The NVBF president also urged volleyball enthusiasts and sports lovers to look forward to an exciting tournament that celebrates talent, discipline, and sportsmanship.
