Victor Osimhen fit to face South Africa after recovering from abdominal discomfort

After failing to fly out with the Bouake, the venue of Nigeria’s Super Eagles AFCON semi-final clash against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana, Victor Osimhen has recovered from abdominal discomfort to join the rest of the squad on Tuesday.
On Monday night, the Nigerian contingents travelled to Bouake for the crucial match against South Africa, but Osimhen could not make the trip.
He was left in Abidjan under close supervision of members of the Nigerian medical team with the hope that the player would join the rest of the team by Tuesday evening once he recovered.
As planned, the Napoli forward recovered from the ailment in time to travel to Bouake and participated in Tuesday’s Eagles’ final training session ahead of the crucial semi-final game against South Africa.
“Victor Osimhen has been declared fit and available for selection in the semi-final clash against South Africa on Wednesday. He has joined the team in Bouaké and has trained with the squad today,” the team posted on social media.
The game between Nigeria and South Africa will be played at the Peace Stadium of Bouaké on Wednesday by 6:00 p.m. (Nigerian time).
